Here we go...
Since August, Austin has read: The Box Car Children, The Secret Garden, The Black Pearl, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Where the Red Fern Grows, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Bud, Not Buddy, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Wizard of Oz, Sign of the Beaver, Little House in the Woods, Little House on the Prairie, and he is currently working on an abridged version of Treasure Island. I think there are more books, but they are likely still floating around his bed somewhere.
For social interaction...I have a small afterschool care running every day with six children here. He is also in boy scouts.
For P.E. Austin swims on the city swim league 4 days a week. He's getting quite a little bod on him. :>)
For Art, Austin attends a homeschool-group art class every Friday.
For music, we will start learning to play the piano come January, but shhh....don't tell him and spoil the surprise!
Hope everyone enjoys getting this little peek into our schooling world.
Love to all,

Cursive??? Are they still teaching that in Alabama??? It's a shame they've stopped teaching it in the public schools. He's doing a great job this year and so are you!!!
Please consider submitting something about homeschooling to the Carnival of Homeschooling. If you are interested, here are the instructions.
If this week is bad for you, you are always welcome to submit to future carnivals.
If a "blog carnival" is a new term, this might help.
Here is the archive of previous carnivals
Participating in a blog carnvial is a good way to get more exposure for your blog.
Thank you for your consideration.
