Egg Drop

This week I assigned Austin an "Egg Drop" project. The requirements were to use items from around the house, the egg was to survive a one-story drop, and he was to build it on his own. He was given a dozen eggs and two weeks to complete the project. Little did I know that the kid would have it done in just a few short hours. After receiving the assignment, Austin sat down and drew up a plan. The next day, he put it together in an hour. The kid was motivated.
